Pateros? I once heard that some people don't know that this small town really exists. They thought that Pateros is just a myth or that it is just a small part of Taguig City. Pateros being the sole municipality in National Capital Region is no exception. The small town is notable for its duck-raising industry and for producing fertilized duck eggs known as balut. It is proudly known as the "Capital of Balut Industry in the Philippines".  Balut sa Puti is one of the most distinguished exotic food in the Philippines. A delicacy that is fertilized boiled duck embryo. This is usually served as warm and fresh in common streets in the country or you can hear some vendor roaming around and shouting to sell 'balut' in the middle of the night.  Is eating Balut healthy?
